Anthony Childs Difficult to pick a favorite. Such a deep and wide sound. I favor the improvised experimental explorations as it brings out the soundtrack quality of Karen's music and while still featuring the strength of her vocal abilities. Fantastic EP. I even love the amp hum (or perhaps that guitar pickup hum, I don't know) in Sunless Skies. The fact these were improvised really hits home how good she is and how much there is to yet discover in her future releases. Looking/listening forward! Favorite track: Sunless Skies.

"In Sheltered places" is a guitar and vocal-based experimental piece that I recorded in 2020 as a live, improvised session. I was trying to come up with a longer piece, but ended up taking these little detours on the way in order to get there and eventually make the track "Almost Nowhere (Further)" that appears on the previous release in this series. However, on listening back I feel like these pieces fit together as a release. Vocals feature throughout the tracks and you can hear how I am slowly introducing vocals into the first track with some looped vocals and go into to play with some diffeent vocals ideas.
This is the third of a series of improvised, experimental releases. I will be releasing them over the next few months in the same order that they were made. All releases will be mastered (as this one was) by Mark Beazley.
There will be a physical release of the series.
